Lunch options

If you are still hungry after your big breakfast, you may wish to consider your lunch options.

There are numerous cafes and eateries in the Blue Mountains catering for all tastes and size of appetites. If you are craving a caffine fix, a ten minute drive will take you to some of the best eateries in the Blue Mountains (all of which, co-incidently based in Little Hartley on the Great Western Highway).

  • The Hartley Valley Teahouse and Gallery - good coffee, great cakes, a range of light lunches and a lovely range of gifts across all price ranges. (Temporarily closed).
  • The Farmhouse cafe - again, great coffee, yummy gourmet pies and burgers and a welcoming rustic charm.
  • The Talisman Cafe and Gallery - has moorish gourmet pizzas and is also open most evenings for dinner!
  • Ambermere, Rose Inn - this historic house has reopened its doors as a Cafe/Restaurant & Wine Bar in April 2010. Open from Friday to Monday for lunch, and Friday and Saturday for dinner.

Alternatively if you want to venture into the surrounding countryside for a romantic picnic, there are several stunning lookouts and quiet picnic spots that your hosts can recommend.
